Brad Morrison, Founder
Brad has over 15 years of experience working with internet technology. He has served in various technical roles for both private and non-profit organizations. Brad earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. An active member of the community, Brad serves as Chairman of the Board for The Matthew Reardon Center for Autism and President of the Savannah UNC Alumni Club. In 2007, Morrison was named a “40 Under 40″ Honoree by the Savannah Business Report and Journal. When he’s not working on web projects, he’s busy following the Tar Heels (or is it the other way around?) and spending time with his wife, Marie and daughter, Elena.
Lucas Karpiuk, Lead Developer
Lucas has web expertise in (X)HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and JavaScript, with a focus on WordPress development. Before joining Southpoint Media, he spent 7 years in Calgary working in hybrid CS/IT positions, first for a call center, then for an international newswire. Lucas is married to Lesley, a school teacher and entrepreneur, and they have a son, Liam, and two dogs: Oliver (English Shepherd) and Winston (Miniature Schnauzer). In his spare time, Lucas enjoys card games (bridge, euchre, poker), knitting, EVE Online, and rollerblading.
Christine Lipian, Web Marketing
Christine has over 15 years of administrative experience working in all areas of business including executive, marketing, sales, customer service and web development. She holds undergraduate degrees from Cedarville University in Music Performance and Education. She is in her second year as Co-Coordinator of the Islands MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) Organization previously serving as Publicity Coordinator responsible for the organization’s marketing efforts and website. She is a wife of 14 years and a mother of 1 precious son and 3 cherished daughters.
Michael Rivera, Team Lead, Web Marketing & Design
Michael Rivera graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design (2005) and has been designing in the web, print and promotional marketing fields for seven years. He has extensive experience with web design and development, corporate identities, publication design and large format graphics. While at SCAD, Michael realized his interest in photography and often developed his own film, creating textures and patterns for use in his graphic design work. Personally and occupationally, he prefers to stay on the cutting-edge of technology, frequently devoting time to master and implement the latest tools of the trade. Michael also strongly supports social causes, donating to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, to friends who often walk for the Susan G. Komen foundation, and also participated in Service Opportunities for Students while attending SCAD.
Brad Worley, Web Marketing
Brad has nearly a decade of experience as a successful entrepreneur and has served on the Southpoint Media Advisory Board since its inception. His wide-ranging knowledge of web trends combined with his understanding of the challenges facing small businesses gives him a unique perspective. Brad earned undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and recently received his MBA from Meredith College, where he earned membership in Beta Gamma Sigma. Brad has served on a number of professional committees and is on the board of DHIC, Inc., a Raleigh-based nonprofit. Brad and his wife Erin, a pharmaceutical industry professional, have two cats, Chirper and Padfoot.
Chris McCorkle, Developer
Chris is a web designer and developer from Las Vegas NV with 9 years of experience working with international agencies, non-profit organizations, businesses, individuals, and more. In his spare time, he enjoys consulting internet startups, studying latin, and collecting wall clocks.
Dean Elliott, Developer
Dean is a self taught web developer hailing from the United Kingdom with over 8 years experience in website design & development. A specialist in WordPress installations and CMS development, Dean can also turn his hand to almost anything he puts his mind to with minimal instruction. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his one year old son, watching 80′s B-Movies and drinking vast amounts of tea.
